Cohort Specific Training begins at Workforce Australia, Casuarina

Participants in Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation’s Workforce Australia program at Casuarina took the first step in a new Cohort Specific Training Program last week, beginning a tailored course built around the foundations of employability: communication, self-awareness, and the confidence to move towards work.

The opening session was delivered by Jahdai Vigona, co-founder and director of the One Percent Program, and centred on rapport-building and communicating with confidence, practical skills that help open doors to employment.

Participants engaged openly throughout the day, sharing their own experiences and backing one another in a welcoming environment. New connections formed across the group as people stepped outside their comfort zones to build skills that will support them both personally and professionally.

At Ironbark, we believe small, consistent steps lead to meaningful outcomes, and Day 1 was a clear example of that. We look forward to seeing what participants achieve across the rest of the program.

Workforce Australia services in the Northern Territory are delivered by Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation.
