As
one of the world’s oldest cultures, Aboriginal people
have long used nature’s resources for many applications,
including story telling through their art, bush
medicine and decoration.
Aboriginal people historically traded their products
with neighbouring groups and through Aboriginal
Bush Traders this tradition continues.
Darwin Regional CDEP Incorporated (a local charitable
organisation) and associated organisations have
sponsored the creation of Aboriginal Bush Traders
to promote the products and trading opportunities
of local Aboriginal businesses and entrepreneurs.
The Aboriginal Bush Traders market stall provides
Aboriginal businesses with an opportunity to showcase
their products and develop their business skills.
Stall holders provide their own products and are
responsible for all aspects of in regard to production,
sales and marketing.
